"I spent the last eight months in Amsterdam in a student exchange program.
There I lived with the woman who helped hide my newborn grandfather in 1943 (WWII).
She's now an 86-year-old artist, living alone in an old Dutch house for over 60 years.
I got to spend time with her
at a very confusing era.
During the long time we spent together, she taught me Dutch through children's books.
"Owl at home" is a story about an owl who wants to be on both upstairs and
downstairs at the same time.
My video, is a collage of an era. Which represents the house in which we lived, the book reading and the connection between us."
